PCOS donated $500 to the FIAT Sto. Niño Mission in the Philippines, where our board member, Dr. Amy Tan, joined other healthcare professionals in providing care. Dr. Tan generously matched our society’s donation, and with the combined $1,000, she was able to purchase 120 sacks of Jasmine rice (10 kilos or 22 lbs per sack). One sack was distributed per family—feeding 120 families thanks to Dr. Tan’s deep commitment to serving the poor.
In addition, board members Dr. Wrigley and Dr. Margolies contributed by donating glasses and brand-new eyeglass frames, which were also distributed within the same community.
It was truly a privilege for all involved—to serve, and to be served.
